Labour Market Agreement Funding for Immigrant Programs
Labour Market Agreement (LMA) Funding Guidelines 2010-2011
In June 2008, the Canada-Nova Scotia Labour Market Agreement (LMA) was signed between the Province of Nova Scotia and Human Resources and Skills Development Canada.
The objectives of the LMA are to increase the participation of Nova Scotians in the workforce, to enhance the quality of skills development programs available to Nova Scotians, and to help facilitate upward workforce mobility. These LMA funds are not to replace existing funding.
Under the LMA, one of the target groups is immigrants. The Nova Scotia Office of Immigration will manage a portion of the LMA funds targeted to immigrants.
The deadline for application funding is Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at 4:30pm.
