Nova Scotia Nominee Program The Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) can provide a quicker immigration process for qualified skilled workers and experienced entrepreneurs who wish to settle permanently in Nova Scotia and become permanent residents of Canada. The program is administered by the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration in partnership with Citizenship and Immigration Canada, the federal department responsible for immigration.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)
If you are thinking of immigrating to Nova Scotia, you should also review the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)'s website at www.cic.gc.ca. It provides information on the rules for:
- visiting Canada (for example, as a tourist or on a business trip)
- studying in Canada as an international student
- working temporarily in Canada as a foreign worker
- immigrating to Canada (obtaining a permanent resident visa formerly called
landed immigrant status) - obtaining Canadian citizenship
