Authorized Representative

The Nova Scotia Nominee Program follows Canadian government regulations requiring all paid immigration representatives to meet the definition of "authorized representative". This means that the NSNP will only conduct business with paid immigration representatives who are the following:

• Immigration consultants who are members in good standing of the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants, or
• Lawyers who are members in good standing of a Canadian law society, and students-at-law under their supervision, or
• Notaries who are members in good standing of the Chambre des notaires du Quebec, and students-at-law under their supervision.

Applicants to the NSNP are not obliged to hire a representative. All applications are treated equally, regardless of whether they were prepared with the assistance of an authorized representative.
The NSNP reserves the right to contact the nominee candidate directly regarding the application if determined that this is in the best interest of program integrity.
